Jesus! it is the name which moves the harps of heaven to melody. Jesus! the life of all our joys. If there be one name more charming, more precious than another, it is this name.
It is woven into the very warp and woof of our psalmody. Many of our hymns begin with it, and scarcely any, that are good for anything, end without it.
It is the sum total of all delights. It is the music with which the bells of heaven ring; a song in a word; an ocean for comprehension, although a drop for brevity; a matchless oratorio in two syllables; a gathering up of the hallelujahs of eternity in five letters.
Charles Spurgeon
It seems right to close this blog by lifting up the King of kings, the giver of hope, and the Rock that we have leaned heavily on since Jesse’s death. To Jesus be all power and glory. Forever. Amen.

About Peter Wiebe
.My name is Peter Wiebe. I am a husband and father of 4 boys-the oldest of which has gone ahead of us to Heaven after a courageous battle with cancer at the age of 10.
As the name of this blog implies, I desire to write stories about heroes. Jesse loved hero stories, and I would love nothing more than to write stories that I think he would want to read. Hero stories , whether real or fictional, can inspire us to live more nobly in our own daily lives.
Plus, I am personally grieved at how many heroes in books and film today are portrayed as many different shades of gray-no moral compass. I am not advocating heroes without flaws, but heroes who recognize their flaws and acknowledge and work on overcoming them. I think of the great Bible heroes like David, Sampson, and Joshua just to name a few.
I think also of the Hero of heroes, who indeed has no flaws. Jesus is the ultimate inspiration for us all. The best qualities of any hero always point to Him.

Amen.
Lovely post!
God bless you and your ministry. I will miss you. Go well!
Thank you, Tersia.
Peter, thank you for sharing about Jesse and your journey of faith. I’ll remember Jesse’s comment about why he thought he got cancer… “so we can all love each other more.” Awesome.
Thank you for following, Joy.
